WHAT IS EXCEL?
EXCEL is a teen-led retreat for high school students that builds your personal relationship with Christ while giving you an opportunity to share your faith and grow with your peers. All the talks on the weekend are given by high school Seniors who have been on the retreat in years past and want to share their personal stories of faith, both highs and lows, with you.
WHAT HAPPENS ON EXCEL?
One of the best parts of this retreat is that you do not know what is going to happen! We keep all the details of the weekend secret in order to allow you to let go of control and just be present in the moment. But rest assured – the weekend is filled with amazing talks, powerful prayer, incredible people, and a TON of fun!
WHERE IS EXCEL?
We hold EXCEL at Camp Don Bosco in Carnation. This site is one of the Camps owned by the Archdiocese of Seattle and is a beautiful and peaceful place to spend the weekend.
WHO CAN GO ON EXCEL?
EXCEL is open to all 9-12th graders in the Eastside Deanery! Priority is given to teens who have never been on the retreat, but all are welcome and encouraged to sign up to be a part of the retreat!
WHAT DOES EXCEL COST?
The registration fee for EXCEL is $115, which covers all transportation, housing, supplies and food for the weekend. We are committed to NEVER letting money be a barrier to a teen going on a retreat, so if you are in need of financial assistance, contact the youth minister at your parish so that we can work with you to find a solution and allow you to attend this amazing weekend!
WHO SHOULD I CONTACT WITH QUESTIONS?
The retreat is hosted by the Eastside Deanery, and headed up by a team of youth ministers. You can contact the Youth Minister at your parish or Amanda Koppes, the senior high youth minister at Holy Family at firstname.lastname@example.org.
